    Start/Stop Apna Safe Browse v5.1   

    Start:

You can start Apna Safe Browse by pressing from Apna Safe Browse Control Panel and it will automatically start blocking the adult content. Apna Safe Browse automatically starts when you starts your computer each time.

    Stop:

You can stop Apna Safe Browse by pressing from Apna Safe Browse Control Panel and it will stop blocking the adult content. The  administrator password for Apna Safe Browse v5.1 can be changed by clicking on icon. You must provide the current administrator password in order to change the administrator password. When you click on , the window appears which allows you to manage the restricted/blocked content.

In above window you can manage the restricted content in following way...

• You can add your own keywords which you want to block.

• By checking the option "Don't open ApnaPakistani website when restricted content is visited", you can disable opening of ApnaPakistani.Net website when any content is blocked.

• By checking the option "Allow everyone to add exceptions and log it", everyone including the administrator can add the blocked website to the Allowed Content List from the popup dialog when the website is being blocked.

• If you want to remove a keyword from the blocked content list, just click on that keyword and click "Remove Keyword".

When you click on the log icon, the window appears from which you can view all the events regarding.... including...

• Website Blocking

• Whenever content is added to allowed list

• Whenever website is added to allowed list using popup dialog

Log can only be viewed by administrator.

    Managing Allowed Content

When you click on , the window appears from which you can manage the allowed content list.

In the above window you can manage the allowed content in following way...

• You can add your own URL which you want to by clicking on "Add URL".

• If the content that you have added to manually allowed content list using popup dialog is not present there, just click "Refresh" button to update the list for manually allowed content.

• If you want to remove a content from the allowed content list, just click on that content and click "Remove Content" or "Remove Exception" button.

Computer Usage Protection

When you click on  on main Apna Safe Browse v5.1 Control Panel window, the window appears from which you can activate the computer usage protection.

What is Computer Usage Protection? Computer Usage Protection is an enhanced feature merged with ASB v5.1 on our users request to facilitate our users. It enables the administrator of ASB v5.1 to restrict/limit the use of his/her computer in terms of time by setting the maximum time the computer can be used. The administrator can manage this feature using the following dialog...

Tick the "⌂Enable the Computer Usage Protection" option, set the time you want the computer to be used maximum [means after the given time period, the access to the computer for non-admin user will be blocked] and press OK. As simple as that!

And Apna Safe Browse v5.1 blocks all the activities on the computer and asks for ASB v5.1 admin password to resume activities on the computer.

Exit Apna Safe Browse v5.1 Control Panel

You can exit Apna Safe Browse v5.1 Control Panel by simply clicking on this button and this button will show you about Apna Safe Browse.

You can activate/deactivate or uninstall Apna Safe Browse v5.1 from Apna Safe Browse Uninstaller. You need to have administrator password in order to deactivate or uninstall Apna Safe Browse v5.1 from your computer.
